Grand Theft Auto releasing a game once every 10 years is either genius or extremely lazy. I am leaning towards genius personally. As someone who buys the new NBA 2k and Madden each year, it is a WASTE. They update the rosters and improve basically nothing else and collect another $60 from each user. Grand Theft Auto, on the other hand, hasn’t sold a new game since 2013 when GTA V was released. There are still in-game purchases that allows them to make money, but they do not simply sell a barely upgraded version each and every year for a whopping $60 each.
Is $150 a little expensive? Yeah. But not when every other game releases a new version each year and charges $60. GTA V was released September 17, 2013. They could releae a watered down version each year like every other game, but instead, they choose to produce quality.
I do not feel like GTA is one big cash grab, and they truly want to release a superior game that is like no other. This is the one game that has truly withstood the test of time. I can;t name anotehr game thjat is still as popular after not releasing a game for over 10 years.
Even luckier for us, even though I am willing to spend $300, we shouldn’t have to.
