I am Committed to Fields Again
I have gone back and forth a bit this year, like many Bears fans have. But I am officially sold again on keeping Justin Fields as our QB. To battle through this atrocious season, and still have a chance to finish 8-9 speaks volumes to this team, and to Fields.
I was okay with getting rid of Eberflus, drafting a new QB, and going for a fresh start. However, with all of the hope we had going into this year, I am absolutely okay with giving this group ONE more chance. But I truly mean ONE. If Ryan Poles and the Bears are committed to Eerflus, it makes no sense to rebuild in other areas. If you were going to rebuild, you clean house. Keeping Eberflus is a solid giveaway that the Bears are gonig to have Fields at the starting QB spot again come the 2024 season.
It seems pretty clear that the fans either want, or at least think Fields will be the starter next year:
This gets me fucking pumped already too. A man already commenting on Bears posts and mentioning his relationship with both Fields and DJ Moore. You can tell this guy already wants to be here, unlike Caleb Williams who may say no to a team drafting him and is already asking for part ownership (clown activity).
Plenty of people are against taking a WR #1, and have fallen into the trap of a “normal draft.” We have tried normal drafts in the past, trading up for QBs like all the good teams do, and it fucked us. LET’S JUST TAKE OUR GUY #1 and let the haters spew their shit. We may look dumb until the season starts, but will look like GENIUSES when Fields, Moore, and Marvin are all top players in their position next year. If we get an offer we can’t refuse, then obviously we are going to have to take it, but I am ready to just commit to Marvin, and turn this franchise around!
