Top 5 Candy Of All Time
I basically like all candy, and find it laughable when people use the words “gross” or “disgusting” with candy. There simply is no such thing, just level of greatness. With that said, I am more of a fruity person than a chocolate person, and sadly enough agree with White Sox Dave, that these are different types of sweet. Without further ado, the top 5 candy of all time:
Sour Patch Kids/Sour Patch Watermelon - I may be cheating right off the bat, but I am counting these as one candy. Sour patch kids and sour patch watermelon are by far the best candy ever created. If you want to cry about these being 2 separate picks, then pretend this list is a top 6 and there are my 1/2. Sour patch kids taking the solo number 1 spot solely because of the variety. Sour patch watermelon may be the best flavor, but it is nice to switch it up with multiple flavors when it comes to candy!
Starburst - Another candy with multiple great varieties. I am just going to keep it general and say Starburst, so if that means only the originals, fine, they’re still number 2. As I mentioned, I am definitely more of a fruity candy guy, and I love a good variety, so nothing better than the fruity chewy delightedness of Starbursts. If you’re willing to NOT be a stickler, Starburst has several different package options such as the red favorites bag or my other favorite, tropical.
Make it stand out
Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
3. Twix - My favorite non-fruity candy of all time has to be Twix. It is a perfect combination of shortbread cookie, Carmel, and milk chocolate. Every single bite is crunchy, chewy, and melts in your mouth. Can’t ask for a better candy experience than that. The shortbread cookie is beyond underrated and does not get the love it deserves. I understand it will never be a chocolate chip or macadamia nut cookie, but the shortbread cookie deserves some respect as a great dessert cookie.
4. Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups - I was never in love with these as much as other people, some who will be mad this is not #1. But have definitely liked them more and more over the years. My main issue was not being the biggest fan of peanut butter. Peanut butter was fine, but I would have been okay if I woke up one morning and Peanut Butter was extinct. I had also never really been a fan of the whole sweet and salty combination growing up, so if I wanted candy or sweets, I would just eat any of the previous listed candies, or simply a plain Hershey’s chocolate bar. Adding in the salty peanut butter seemed to ruin the candy more than anything. But clearly times have changed, as this now cracks my top 5 and sits comfortably at the #4 spot.
5. Kit-Kat - The last candy for me that cracks the top 5 is the Kit-Kat. This candy is fairly simple, as it just layers wafers and chocolate. Nothing too complex, but never disappoints. Most of my honorable mentions could probably replace Kit-Kat at the #5 spot, but Kit-Kats are a candy that I eat more often than the rest, and a candy that I have ALWAYS enjoyed. The mini Kit-Kat you receive on Haloween is superior to any other Kit-Kat, but it’s also nice to have a larger bar and being able to break off a piece of that Kit-Kat bar for the homie.
I know there are several things that did not make the list that may have people enraged. One of those being Snickers. Snickers is an all time candy bar for so many people, but I never was the biggest fan. I definitely like it now, but as mentioned before, would rather have pure sweetness when it comes to candy, don’t need that sweet and salty combo. One candy bar that I think iOS amazing, but never gets any love, is the Heath bar. I don’t eat it enough to have it in ky top 5, but this is by far a superior candy to Snickers. The last honorable mention is a situational play, DOTS. DOTS are THE movie theater candy and no one can tell me otherwise. I will get DOTS 9/10 times at the movie theater, and they never disappoint.
