Top 5 Board Games

I am not the biggest board game person, meaning I do not follow the latest games, and could probably not list many, if any, games made after 2008. With that being said, these are my top board games that I have played in my life.

1.) Monopoly - An all-time classic that does not get played enough. I fire up some Monopoly on the PlayStation every now and then and play a game or 2 against the computer.

2.) Chess - Other than the fun of playing Monopoly with others, Chess is the greatest board game of all time. There is so much strategy that goes into this game, and can be played at all skill levels. It is also one of the oldest games known to man, and has withstood the test of time.

3.) Chinese Checkers - A classic that takes no skill, and is almost as basic as traditional Checkers. Chinese Checkers is a step above traditional Checkers, and deserves a spot on this list.

4.) Sorry - One of my favorite childhood games that I have not played in several years. Another game that takes basically no strategy, but is still a blast.

5.) Settlers Of Catan - I was not introduced to this game until I was about 22 or so, but is a game that I will continue to play the rest of my life. You can sit down with a group of friends and play, or play online with a group of strangers. The game is just as fun both ways, and is a perfect combination of strategy and mindlessness.

Some honorable mentions that could have easily made this list are: Candyland, Connect 4, Scattegories, Mancala, Life, Clue, and Mastermind.
